Academic Search is an excellent place to begin your next research paper. This database provides full text for more than 4,500 journals covering many topics, and includes full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. Some journals are available in full-text as early as 1975. Biography Resource Center Find award-winning biographies with related full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of images, reference books, and links to vetted websites. Global Issues in Context offers international viewpoints on a variety of global issues, topics, and current events for people who want to know what's going on in the world today and why. There are over 190 country portals which tie together specially selected news, expert regional perspectives, video, reference, country information. This will be of use to travelers, students, and anyone who may want to stay in touch with what going on around the world. Magazines/MasterFile Find full text articles for nearly 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, full text from 86,017 biographies, 105,786 full text primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags. Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 375 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided. ProQuest Newsstand indexes 1,379 national and international newspapers, including the Deseret News, the Salt Lake Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal. The indexing covers not only complete bibliographic information but also companies, people, products, etc. To access this resource, log in with your library card and PIN number by clicking here, then choose “ProQuest Newsstand” on the left-side menu. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 105,000 articles from 1,622 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, magazine articles, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information. Utah Newsearch indexes of ALL of Utah's newspaper archives from 2004 to current.  Each newspaper provides fully-searchable PDFs of the complete newspapers, which lets you see both photos and headlines. There is a two week delay.  To access this resource, log in with your library card and PIN number by clicking here, then choose “Utah Newsearch Utah Press Association” on the left-side menu. World Book Info Finder offers access to full-text World Book entries and many photographs, maps, and charts. A special section on exploring Utah that provides links to applicable encyclopedia articles and information on the state, biographies of important Utahans, and information about the State’s economy and population. This online reference resource also includes an atlas and a dictionary. This is a great place to begin any research assignment. About the City of Orem Library

The Orem Library is open Monday through Friday 9am until 9pm and on Saturdays from 9am until 6pm. We are closed Sundays and Holidays. Click here for a list of observed holidays.

If you need to return books outside of these hours, a 24 drive through book and media drop is located on the North side of the Library.

The Main Library is located at 58 North State Street in Orem, Utah at the north end of the City Center Complex (on the northeast corner of State and Center Streets). Parking is to the east of the library building and is accessed from 100 North. If you need assistance please call 229-7050.
