Storytime (Thu. 8 Oct, 2015 10:30 am - 11:00 am)

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:30 am in the Storytelling Wing. A 30-minute program for preschoolers & young school-aged children with stories, puppets, activities to engage youngsters & highlight the joys of books & storytelling.

Library Study Hall (Thu. 8 Oct, 2015 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

The Library Study Hall program at the Orem Library provides elementary through middle school-aged students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a librarian in using library resources to complete school assignments. Librarians can help students locate books for projects or reports; use our databases to find information; and use our computers and computer programs to increase their abilities or complete assignments. The Library Study Hall is not a tutoring program. Librarians do not teach concepts or do homework with or for students. Parents must stay on the mezzanine with students under the age of 10.

Book Discussion Room

Welcome Baby: Parenting Class (Thu. 8 Oct, 2015 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

Welcome Baby is a free community service offered by United Way of Utah County and the Utah County Health Department to promote healthy growth and development for babies and their families. Join presenters from United Way as they teach a class for parents on introducing babies and young children to early literacy and education. Register for the free class here:

Orem Reads Kickoff: Terry Tempest Williams (Thu. 8 Oct, 2015 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

The Orem Public Library is pleased to present writer and activist Terry Tempest Williams, one of the nation’s foremost environmental writers and author of this year’s Orem Reads selection, Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place. Williams will read from and discuss Refuge and its deeply personal history, as well as the importance of home, nature, and place in the human experience. Free copies of Refuge will be distributed at the event.  A signing with the author will follow the reading.

About the City of Orem Library

The Orem Library is open Monday through Friday 9am until 9pm and on Saturdays from 9am until 6pm. We are closed Sundays and Holidays. Click here for a list of observed holidays.

If you need to return books outside of these hours, a 24-hour drive through book and media drop is located on the North side of the Library.

We are located at 58 North State Street in Orem, Utah at the north end of the City Center Complex (on the northeast corner of State and Center Streets). Parking is to the east of the library building and is accessed from 100 North. If you need assistance please call 229-7050.
