Mango Languages is an online language-learning system teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. These include Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Greek; and English as a Second Language for Spanish speakers, Portuguese speakers, and Polish Speakers. This interactive program and allows you to save progress with your user account. The first time you use Mango, you will need to register with an email address and your library card and PIN. After you register and login, Mango will remember where you left off the last time you visited.

Orem City Art Collection allows online viewers to explore the 170 paintings, drawings, original prints, sculptures, and pieces of pottery that comprise the City’s ever-expanding art collection, a collection described as “one of the best ‘little’ collections in the state of Utah” by artist and art educator Max Dickson Weaver.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas, including many images and charts.

Academic Search is an excellent place to begin your next research paper. This database provides full text for more than 4,500 journals covering many topics, and includes full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. Some journals are available in full-text as early as 1975.

MAS Complete is a great place to begin any high school project. MAS Ultra includes many full text articles, some dating back to 1975, and access to reference books, biographies, and huge image files. Begin your next paper here.

Middle Search Plus provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags.

Primary Search provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator, and full text information dates as far back as 1990.

TOPICsearch contains full text for over 105,000 articles from 1,622 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, magazine articles, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information.

MasterFILE allows students to find full text articles from nearly 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, full text from 86,017 biographies, 105,786 full text primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily.

ProQuest Newsstand database indexes 1,379 national and international newspapers, including the Deseret News, the Salt Lake Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal. The indexing covers not only complete bibliographic information but also companies, people, products, etc.

Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 375 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.

Utah Newspapers is an index of ALL of Utah’s newspaper archives from 2004 to now. Each newspaper provides fully-searchable PDFs of the complete newspapers, which lets you see both photos and headlines. There is a two week delay.
